The Vivo Y600’s standout feature is its 10, 000 mAh battery. The smartphone made it into the Guinness World Records thanks to the longest live stream featuring a mobile device test. During the test, the phone ran for 32 hours and 37 minutes on a single charge.
Battery
The manufacturer says the battery is highly durable, retaining at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,400 charge and discharge cycles. Vivo estimates that the battery can last up to seven years. The smartphone supports 44 W fast wired charging and reverse wired charging via USB-C. The battery can also operate across a wide temperature range, from −35 to +50 °C.
Display and protection
The Vivo Y600 has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. It supports HDR and displays 1.07 billion colors. An optical fingerprint scanner is located under the screen.
The smartphone’s body meets IP68 and IP69 protection standards. This means it is protected against prolonged immersion in water under certain conditions, as well as hot, high-pressure water jets. The manufacturer also says the phone successfully passed seven tests for resistance to impacts and adverse environmental conditions under military standards.
Performance
The Vivo Y600 is powered by a 6 nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor with a Mali-G610 GPU. The smartphone comes with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Cameras
The Vivo Y600’s rear panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. It supports night and portrait modes, panorama, slow-motion video and video recording at up to 1080p. The front camera has an 8 MP resolution.
Other features
The smartphone runs OriginOS 6, based on Android 16. Wireless connectivity includes 5G, NFC and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has an infrared port for controlling household appliances.
The body is up to 8.69 mm thick, and the phone weighs up to 225 grams, depending on the version.
Release date, colors and prices
Pre-orders for the Vivo Y600 opened in China on October 26, with open sales beginning on October 30. The smartphone is available in three colors: blue, gold and black.
