Huawei’s Watch Fit 5 Pro is officially global, and is priced at £250. The watch comes in Orange, White, and Black. In the box, you’ll find the watch, a nice orange fabric strap (in our case), and the universal wireless charging puck (though one that sadly still ends on a USB-A port).
The lineup’s design is very similar to Apple’s Watch and Watch Ultra, but this year we are starting to see more difference. The front is no longer a flat glass surface like on the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro, and instead, there’s a noticeable 2.5D curve to the glass. It’s still a sapphire crystal glass, so you needn’t worry about scratches.
The new Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is ever so slightly larger than the 4 Pro, and it can be noticeable for long-term wearers of the previous model. Thought weight-wise, they’re the same, which is impressive given that the new model also has a larger battery.
Compared to the Watch Fit 4 Pro
While the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro already had a solid 400mAh battery, the Watch Fit 5 Pro has a 12% bigger 471mAh power pack, which is a high-silicon stacked battery. Huawei claims 7 days of typical use and 10 days of light use.
Ours is the Orange model, and it has an orange accent running along its front. The casing is matte and has a slight golden cast to it. The white model has a special wear-resistant coating applied to the surface. Huawei claims it improves scratch resistance by 15%, surface hardness by 130%, and wear resistance by 100%.
Health-wise, the Huawei Watch 5 Pro has added Arterial Stiffness detection to the ECG and Atrial Fibrillation tracking. There’s also the basic heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), Skin temperature, and stress detection.
Sleep tracking has improved with a new, more accurate algorithm and nap detection.
