Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra's dummy unit surfaces

CAD-based renders of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra that leaked in August revealed its design. Now, the source of those renders has built a dummy unit of the S27 Ultra from the CAD files and compared it with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Apple iPhone 18 Pro, and Google Pixel 11 Pro.

The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra's dummy unit doesn't have real weight, and since it's a dummy unit, it also lacks a display, a battery, or anything else inside. We do know its dimensions, though: 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97 mm vs. the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm.

You can check the images of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra's dummy unit below. It has a cut-out in the center on the front for the selfie camera, a redesigned camera island on the rear, the power button and volume rocker on the right-side frame, and a USB-C port cut-out at the bottom, joined by cut-outs for the SIM card, primary microphone, speaker, and S-Pen slot.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra's redesigned camera island features one less camera than its predecessor, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. And while it's likely to remind many of the Apple iPhone 18 Pro, it leaves room for magnets, which could allow MagSafe-style accessories to connect properly. The new design could also reduce the phone's wobbling when used on flat surfaces.

That said, the new camera design also means you can't use Galaxy S26 Ultra cases with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, even though the camera sensor positions don't change much.
