RedMagic launched the 11 Pro back in November, and now it’s working on a refresh of that model. According to a new certification by NBTC in Thailand, this will be called RedMagic 11s Pro. It has the model number NX809J.
Interestingly, that’s the model number of the China-only RedMagic 11 Pro+, but globally the 11 Pro incorporated that version’s specs, so it’s unclear what’s going on here. We are of course hoping that this is not just a renaming and the 11s Pro will bring something new to the table compared to the 11 Pro.
That said, unfortunately this certification doesn’t reveal any specs, so we’ll have to wait for other certifications, or leaks and rumors, to fill in the gaps. In China the ‘standard’ version 11 Pro has an 8,000 mAh battery, while the global model adopts the Chinese Pro+’s 7,500 mAh cell, so perhaps we’re getting that extra 500 mAh with the 11s Pro? Only time will tell.
