There’s not long to wait to find out all the details about what looks set to be one of the best and most interesting flagship phones of 2026

Over the last couple of months, Motorola has been teasing its new flagship smartphone and we finally know when it will arrive.

Motorola has announced on X that its official launch date – fireworks at the ready – is 5 November. It’s a more unusual month to launch a new phone, but the Lenovo-owned firm may have wanted some breathing room for its flagship phone after the chaos of ‘Techtember’ and ‘Techtober’.

Whether there will be a live streamed event or similar is unclear, but that date is just a week away so there’s not long to wait for all the final details. Motorola’s post simply says “elegantly crafted for comfort. See for yourself on November 5.”

After a selection of teasers, Motorola partly announced the Signature 27 at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii towards the end of September. It means we already have some details about the phone, but we’ll get full specs and the release date next week.

Despite the ’27’ moniker, it appears that the device will indeed go on sale in 2026. Leaked pricing from a European retailer suggests it will cost €1,594.90 for a model with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage – that’s around £1,330/$1,770 converted.

That should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt, especially as it’s over 50% more than the original Motorola Signature despite significant upgrades.

What we already know

Considering Motorola did unveil the phone last month, there are various things we know about it already.

For starters, it comes in Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive, with Motorola shaking things up once again in the materials department. These are Pantone TCX colours, which stands for ‘Textile Cotton eXtended’ where the dye is printed onto cotton fabric and the firm has teased a ” Tactical Weave” finish for the black model.

Known hardware specs include a 200Mp periscope telephoto camera alongside a 50Mp Sony LYTIA 910 main camera and the phone will have audio from Bang & Olufsen ,where at least one speaker will be mounted underneath the rear cover.

There’s plenty more left to find out next week then, with many fans excited about the fact it will be the first ever non-Pixel phone to officially support GrapheneOS – the open source operating system which focuses on security and data privacy.
