Huawei OSTA sub-brand phones can go ultra-thin on bezels

Huawei OSTA sub-brand series phones are now rumored to feature ultra-thin and uniform bezels, measuring just 1mm. A Weibo tipster has revealed more insights into the upcoming phone line’s specs, and its bezels appear to be an eye-catching point.
Tipster SmartPikachu noted that the Huawei OSTA sub-brand series phones can go ultra-thin on bezels. The lineup will contain two devices featuring a flat and a curved screen. Although both may bring the thinnest bezels in the Huawei family.
Pura X View actually holds the crown for the Huawei phone with the thinnest bezels at the moment. It features 1.05mm symmetrical uniform bezels on all four sides of a 6.39-inch LTPO 2 OLED screen. The device also supports 6500nits peak brightness.
Honor flagship phones offer 0.93mm bezels. It seems Huawei plans to march forward in the thinnest smartphone bezel competition with the upcoming OSTA (Xingmang or Starlight) sub-brand smartphone series.
A thin bezel around the screen offers a wider screen-to-body ratio and creates a more immersive viewing experience on a small-sized screen. It ensures a full view while playing games, watching videos, and gives a sleek, premium look to the device.

According to the tipster, the Huawei OSTA phones will support Kunlun Glass. It will provide flagship-level protection from drops and scratches. The new lineup may also pack an advanced thermal management system, enhancing the overall performance.
The leak further details OSTA phones’ design. Both models may show a glowing engraved pattern on the back. Huawei OSTA O1, the first handset, can use a regular form factor with a circular camera module on the back at a cost-effective rate.
OSTA O1 Pro could debut as a flagship product with a Pura X View-like design and superior specs to the first model. More details about these phones will likely surface in the coming weeks.
