Labrinth promotes PROLED MacBook Pro with an all-night music-making stream
Multi-platinum musician Labrinth will be putting the PROLED MacBook Pro through its paces ahead of launch, using it to produce a full song from scratch on a live stream.
Apple's MacBook Pro with a Tandem OLED screen, referred to as PROLED, is coming out on November 6. As part of its promotion for the new model's launch, Apple is collaborating with a musical artist on an interesting live stream.
As hinted at on TikTok, Labrinth will be working through the night at the Tower Theater Apple Store in Downtown L.A. to create a new song from scratch. This will be completed on the new Mac notebook, as well as Apple's Logic Pro software.
Labrinth is a multi-platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and producer. Aside from solo hits like "Jealous" and "Earthquake," he is also part of the LSD supergroup with Sia and Diplo, and has collaborated with Beyonce on the Grammy-nominated "Spirit."
He has also served as a composer for the TV show "Euphoria," writing and performing the finale-capping song "All For Us." It won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.
The entire song-production process will be livestreamed on Labrinth's YouTube account, which has over 3.2 million subscribers, in real time. The live stream will start on November 4th at 8 P.M. Pacific, 11 P.M. Eastern.
The song itself will be released the following week, presumably through Apple Music.
