A Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) on T-Mobile’s network, called REALLY, announced a new AI-based pilot project. It aims to build an AI assistant trained on your voice to handle trivial calls for you. The company’s CEO says the AI clone is not meant to replace you, but to help focus on what’s important.
The feature is pretty straightforward. The AI trains on your voice, speaking style and communication preferences. Your AI clone will then pick up calls you don’t want to handle, like reservation confirmations, sales agents, customer support, etc. Once the call is over, the AI will give you a quick summary of the conversation.
Funnily enough, there’s even a feature that’s specifically designed for scammers. The AI is trained to waste scammers’ time intentionally and even tracks how much time it wastes on them.
The AI clone, which is actually named “Clone” can even make calls on your behalf. It can schedule appointments for you and even follow up on messages. A perfect solution for anyone who has call anxiety.
