The Trump Mobile saga continues in the worst way possible. The company’s first smartphone, by all accounts a rebranded HTC U24 Pro, which is a device launched in 2024, was first supposed to start shipping in August or September of last year. Obviously, that didn’t happen, but shipments are now supposedly imminent.

But now there’s another problem. Trump Mobile has confirmed to TechCrunch that it has exposed customer information, including names, phone numbers, home addresses, and email addresses on its website.

The company is currently investigating the exposure and hasn’t yet found any evidence of nefarious use. The exposure was apparently linked to a third-party platform provider that supports “certain Trump Mobile operations”, according to Trump Mobile spokesperson Chris Walker. That platform provider hasn’t been named, though.

The company insists that there was no breach of its network, systems, or infrastructure, which is funny because there was no need for a breach – all of the aforementioned customer data was out for anyone to find on its website. Anyway, Walker says Trump Mobile is now “evaluating whether it needs to notify customers of the exposure of their personal data”.
