Tipster brings bad news for the Galaxy Z Fold9 and Z Fold9 Ultra cameras

The Galaxy Z Fold9 models may bring back the under-display camera next year, but that might be the only camera upgrade they get. Tipster Lanzuk has scoured various sources and claims that the 2027 wide and book-style foldables will retain the same “rear” cameras as their predecessors.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra will have a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide and it will “maintain 3x optical zoom”. Now, that last detail comes with no megapixel count attached, but what are the chances of an upgrade from the current 10MP module when even the new S27 Pro is only getting a 3x 12MP camera?
