Introduction
Reviewing flagships is always fun and all, but the reality is that most people will never need to get a full-fledged flagship. Plus, midrangers are generally the heart of every lineup. They sell the most numbers by far. It is really hard to get a midranger just right, which is probably why most manufacturers these days are quite timid with their generational upgrades.
That said, Samsung takes timid to a whole new level lately. In fact, we might even go as far as to say that the Korean giant is downright stagnant across its 2026 lineup, but that’s a whole other conversation.

What we mean to say is that the Galaxy A37 hasn’t really changed that much compared to the A36. The most obvious shift is arguably the move from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset last year to a Samsung-made Exynos 1480 this year. Other than that, Samsung basically designed a few new colors and called it a day. Another way to look at it is that Samsung is basically re-releasing a slightly tweaked version of the Galaxy A55 from 2024 in the face of the A37.

We really wish there was something more substantial to report on here. Unfortunately, the Galaxy A37 remains predictable and even a bit boring. Still, consistency isn’t intrinsically bad. If you have a good thing going, why rock the boat?

Regardless of whether anything major has changed or not, we are still going to examine the Galaxy A37 closely and put it through its paces as usual.
Unboxing
The Galaxy A37 comes in a simple, two-piece cardboard box. In typical Samsung fashion, the box is quite thin but still sturdy enough to keep the phone protected. There is no plastic anywhere on this package, which is good from an eco-friendly standpoint.

There is not much in the way of an accessory package, which is hardly a surprise. You don’t get a charger in the box. The Galaxy A37 is rated for 45W charging, so you need to go out and source a compatible PD+PPS charger on your own. You do get a thin and relatively short white USB Type-C to Type-C cable. It is a regular 3A cable, nothing fancy.
