The Oppo Find N6 will be a very popular phone – and it could have been even more popular, but Oppo decided not to offer it in Europe. Otherwise, the N6 could have hit an impressive 50% positive vote in last week’s poll or gone even higher, assuming the phone reviews well (we have a review unit and we’re already testing it).
The phone’s predecessor, the Find N5, impressed us last year and the N6 brings several important upgrades like the “zero-feel” crease, the 200MP main camera and the larger 6,000mAh Si/C battery.
Of course, foldables aren’t for everyone – many in the comments said as much. Others want a cheap foldable instead and the Find N is a flagship series. Still, those who are in the market for a premium book-style foldable have the Find N6 on their short list. That is if it’s available in their region, of course.
Among those who voted against the Find N6, many criticized the camera – the main camera may have 200MP resolution, but it’s only a 1/1.56” sensor, which is fairly small (the pixels are only 0.5µm). The other sensors are on the small side too.
We will certainly be testing the cameras – it’s one of the key areas where bar phones still dominate. We’ll also share our thoughts on Oppo’s claims about the “zero-feel” crease, so stay tuned.
