Now that the Oppo Find N6 is official, let’s take a closer look at it. We already did an unboxing, but to recap, it ships with a two-piece case, an 80W charger, and a USB cable.

You have a choice of two colors – Stellar Titanium and Blossom Orange, and three configurations – 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.

Big this year is the zero-feel crease inner display. It truly feels impressive. The crease is there if you go looking for it, but it genuinely feels like the two halves intersect perfectly, without a crease.

Oppo achieved this by laser-measuring the differences in hinge depth at the microscopic level and then applying 3D liquid polymer to even out the hinge. It’s all very technical, but Oppo says you can expect higher longevity from the Find N6.

The screens are excellent, as you’d expect, but they’re not very much different than the ones on the Find N5, just slightly brighter, which you’re unlikely to notice in day-to-day scenarios.

The Oppo Find N6 is smooth and fluid. That’s to be expected from a flagship running Qualcomm’s latest top-tier SoC. Our unit packs 16GB of RAM with that chip.

The cameras have improved compared to the Find N5. The main camera has the same sensor size but has quadrupled in resolution – from 50MP to 200MP. That should result in some benefits in detail, both in good and low light.

Another, arguably more major, improvement is to the ultrawide, which went from a mediocre 8MP imager to a good 50MP one. Both selfie cameras got higher-megapixel sensors as well.

The Find N6 feels just like its predecessor in use, which is no bad thing. It’s got the largest displays among popular book-style foldables, which makes it an excellent choice to use both closed and open. The cover screen doesn’t feel like a step down from a classic bar phone, and the folding screen feels like a compact tablet when you need to see more content.

The phone feels very sturdy when open. It’s light and slim, but reassuringly tight. It’s very enjoyable in the hand.

That’s all we’ve got for now. A review of the Oppo Find N6 is coming, but will take some time. Be patient, guys!
