OnePlus has just announced that the price of its Watch 3 is going to drop back down.
The company originally launched it at $329.99. Then, due to what it called “current market conditions” in the U.S., that price hiked to $499.99 on April 10.
Now OnePlus has released a statement which says it has managed to bring the price back down to just above the original, now sitting at $349.99.
The reason it has managed to drop the price by that hefty near $150 chunk? It has managed to make “recent adjustments to [our] supply chain.”
The company is clear in stating that this new price will be fixed and that won’t change in the future.
What about those who already bought the Watch 3?
If you’re someone who paid the higher price for the OnePlus Watch 3 then there’s good news for you as the company says it will honor that.
If you paid that $499.99 fee then OnePlus will refund you the difference so that your price also reflects that $349.99 level.
The statement reads: “OnePlus will refund them the difference to their original payment method and will be contacted directly by the OnePlus Customer Support team.”
Why did OnePlus change the Watch 3 price again?
The company released a further statement saying why it has changed the price and how that was possible.
OnePlus said: “This change reflects our effort to be transparent, responsive, and committed to bringing the OnePlus Watch 3 to the U.S at a competitive price point, despite the ongoing market conditions. We appreciate all our OnePlus users and the OnePlus community for their continued support and understanding.”
Is the OnePlus Watch 3 any good?
The Digital Trends OnePlus Watch 3 review reveals that this is an impressive watch, perhaps even worthy of that higher price, attaining 4.5 out of 5 in our rating.
Positives include a great design with high quality materials backed by fantastic performance plus a long battery life and comprehensive health and fitness support. It essentially lost half a star down to being in one size only.

Samsung’s One UI 7 update makes the Galaxy S24 Ultra feel like new
I’d been refreshing the Software Update menu on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for a few days, expectantly waiting for One UI 7 to arrive. Then, on the morning of April 10, it was suddenly available and I eagerly installed it. Samsung’s One UI 7 software over Android 15 on the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a big success, but what would it be like on 2024’s flagship Galaxy phone?
Not a massive update?
To my surprise, the One UI 7 update on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is modestly sized, and took less than three minutes to download and install on my phone. It did so without any issue too, and aside from a few setup screens to navigate through — one for accessing Google Gemini, and another showing the new Galaxy AI features — my phone was operational again in moments.

Is a $500 OnePlus Watch 3 still worth buying? The answer is complicated
The OnePlus Watch 3’s price has suddenly increased to $500, but we reviewed the smartwatch when it cost $330. It hasn’t become a different device overnight, no additional features have been added, and it doesn’t come with a solid gold bracelet. OnePlus has not made a comment on why the price has increased, but as it has (so far) only increased in the U.S., it’s fairly safe to assume the price increase is due to U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs, as the OnePlus Watch 3 is made in China.
The question now becomes, is the OnePlus Watch 3 worth $500 and should you still buy it? The answer is complicated.

OnePlus 13 users can finally experience Android 16
OnePlus 13 users eager to try Android 16 can do so now. An announcement on the official OnePlus Forums states that users of OnePlus’ newest phone can download Android 16 Beta 2 on their devices. According to the note, the beta won’t be made available to OnePlus 13R users, at least to yet.
Whether OnePlus 13 users should download the Android 16 beta is another story. As 9to5Google rightly notes, early releases of OxygenOS, which sits on top of Android on OnePlus devices, haven’t always played nice with beta versions.
