WhatsApp has recently released an update for its iOS application that introduces a new AI character creation feature. According to reports, this feature is now in the process of being tested for the Android application. It is currently in the beta testing phase and is expected to be available in the stable version soon.
WhatsApp for Android May Soon Get AI Characters
According to a recent report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows users to create AI characters in the latest version of WhatsApp Beta for Android. However, this feature is still under development and is not yet available to all beta testers. Additionally, the report mentions that a new tab for AI characters has been observed.
The AI character creation feature will resemble the existing AI character feature found on other Meta-owned apps like Instagram and Facebook. A similar feature was recently introduced for iOS users of WhatsApp. It appears that the company is working on making this feature available for Android users as well.

The feature allows users to access a virtual AI studio where they can create their own AI character from scratch or choose from a variety of available templates. Users can also provide a prompt of up to 1,000 words to describe the characteristics of the AI character they want. This feature seems intriguing, and I look forward to trying it out once it becomes available on the Android app.
