OnePlus and OPPO recently announced their flagship smartphone lineups in mainland China. The Find X8 series has also debuted in the global market. Now, OPPO is gearing up to launch its foldable flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find N5. The same device will be introduced in the global market with the moniker “OnePlus Open 2.” But before the official launch, we have its launch timeline and specifications leaked online.
OnePlus Open 2 a.k.a. OPPO Find N5 might launch in Q1 next year
As per the known tipster Digital Chat Station, the OPPO has started warming up for the launch of the OPPO Find N5 foldable device. The tipster reported this information on his Weibo handle alongside its rumoured specifications.
Talking about the device’s specifications, the OPPO Find N5 will pack Qualcomm’s most advanced flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This shouldn’t be a surprise since the device is going to fit itself in the ultra-premium category of devices. He further reports that the gadget will pack a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup.

There will be a 50-megapixel W-style periscope telephoto lens, which is fine but the brand could have used the optical periscope or telephoto. Anyway, the device will have an IPX8 water resistance rating. The Find N5 is tipped to be made on an “anti-fall” structure which ensures that the device is very lightweight and comfortable in hand. Its overall thickness is also controlled since it will pack a silicon carbon battery and therefore, its battery life will also be good.

As mentioned earlier, after its successful China launch, the gadget will also launch in the overseas market but under a different brand. It will be known as “OnePlus Open 2” in the global and Indian markets. There may be some changes in the hardware specifications, but they will be very minor.
