The European Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra passed through the FCC, bearing the model numbers SM-S931B/DS, SM-S936B/DS, and SM-S938B/DS. They’ve been testing with a 25W charger but the Ultra might support up to 45W, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Honor unveiled its 300 series with the Honor 300, 300 Pro, and the 300 Ultra. Like the Pro, the Honor 300 Ultra has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, but it also gets a 50MP periscope lens (IMX858) offering 3.8x optical zoom and f/3.0 aperture. The periscope module is joined by a 50MP main lens (IMX906) with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide. There’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz OLED and a 5,300mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The Honor 300 Ultr starts at CNY 4,199 ($577) and is on sale in China.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will have the same 6.73-inch display as its predecessor, along with a 1-inch type main camera with f/1.63 aperture – no mention of a variable aperture this year. Next, a 50 MP short-distance zoom telephoto (probably 2x), and a 200 MP probably 4.3x periscope telephoto. Rumor has it the cell capacity will be between 5,450 mAh and 5,800 mAh.
AnTuTu’s November 2024 top 10 charts is dominated by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite or MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400. Between them, Qualcomm’s new flagship SoC takes the cake in two separate ways: it powers the phone that’s No.1 in the chart, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro, and it’s inside six of the top ten devices, whereas the Dimensity 9400 is only in four of them.
Samsung’s 2025 foldables are getting new larger screens. The information comes from Ross Young, a consultant within the display supply chain industry. He says the Galaxy Z Fold7 will get the Galaxy Fold Special Edition panels – an 8″ foldable screen and a 6.5″ panel on the cover. The clamshell Galaxy Z Flip7 is also up for increase across the board – a 6.85″ foldable (up from 6.7″) and a 4″ cover (up from 3.4″) display.
The Red Magic 10 Pro is now global. It has the Chinese Pro+ model’s 7,050mAh battery. Early bird orders for the phone will begin on December 12, with open sales starting on December 18. The starting price is $649/€649 for the 12/256GB model.
