Nothing has already announced plans to release a Nothing Phone 3 in 2025. Now, there’s a report that the company could launch more handsets in the new year. Leaker Yogesh Brar has revealed that the company is developing three new Nothing phones, all expected to be released in the first half of 2025.

What are these new handsets?  In June, Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl Pei announced that the Nothing Phone 3 would be released in 2025, following the 2023 release of the Nothing Phone 2. At the time, the executive said the new phone would completely reinvent how we use and think about our phones.

Nothing will approach this with the “hub,” its AI-powered version of a smartphone home screen. At the top of the hub, you’ll find quick links and buttons for essential features like the weather, social media, your calendar, and messages. Below that, there are various “dynamic and context-aware” widgets. For instance, it can automatically display a QR code for a boarding pass or concert ticket based on your calendar.

A more affordable version, the Nothing Phone 3a, may also be released. Similar to the Nothing Phone 2a, this model could include many of the same features as the new flagship but with some key limitations that will enable Nothing to offer it at a lower price.

What can we expect from the third new Nothing phone? Previous rumors have suggested that it might be a professional version, possibly called the Nothing Phone 3 Pro. However, Brar does not believe this will be the new phone’s name. Instead, he anticipates that the third model could feature different internal components compared to the regular version. Whether these components will be better or worse than those in the standard model is still unclear.

We’ve always been impressed with Nothing phones and can’t wait to see what the company announces next year. The Nothing Phone 2 remains one of our best Android phones, but because of its age, it’s no longer one of our best phones overall. Regardless, these are always exciting phones to review and use.

According to MacRumors, there’s a long-running thread with hundreds of posts from users lamenting their battery’s lack of joie de vivre. One user said their phone drops from 100% charge to 60% by midday, even though there was no heavy usage during that time. Another user reported a battery drain of around 1% every five minutes. Obviously, this isn’t a great look for Apple.

Polar Pacer Pro on man's wrist, seen from the side.

Sometimes it feels like you can’t turn your computer on without seeing news of yet another data breach. One of the latest victims is Polar, the smartwatch company responsible for gadgets like the Polar Pacer Pro and the Polar Vantage V3. Fun fact: Polar is also one of Henry Cavill’s fitness trackers of choice.

The attack started over a week ago. On October 11, Polar posted a statement to its website about a “security incident” that affected its online store.  According to the statement, the U.S. online store had been “subjected to various levels of disruption,” but only a few accounts had been compromised. That’s good news, as the attack was likely designed to try and make fraudulent purchases, but not steal health data.

The back of the Nothing Phone 2a Plus.

Technology company Nothing will launch its first Community Edition smartphone at the end of October, and rather than being a collaboration with another brand, it’s the result of a collaboration with its fans. The device is the culmination of a project that started in March 2024 and involves members of the Nothing fan base suggesting and designing certain aspects of a new phone. The resulting device will be called the Nothing Phone 2a Community Edition, and it’s set to be fully revealed on October 30.

If you haven’t heard of the Nothing Community Project before, here’s a quick overview. When it was announced in March, the company explained that there would be four different stages, where members of the Nothing fan base could contribute ideas and designs to shape a future version of the Nothing Phone 2a. The first stage focused on hardware design, the second involved wallpapers, the third concentrated on the packaging for the new phone, and finally the last stage was all about the marketing.
