Xiaomi 15 Series Breaks Sales Records, Outpacing Competitors in Chinese Market

Not long ago Xiaomi launched its most anticipated flagship, the Xiaomi 15 Series, in China. The phone went on sale on 31st October for the first time and in a Xiaomi style there was always an official sales report released after a successful first sale of an important product. However this year there were no such official sales data from the brand which has left the fans and the audience in a suspense.

However last night on 9th November, Xiaomi group president Mr Lu Weibing held a live broadcast where he revealed the first sales data of Xiaomi 15 Series. Mr Lu said that the 15 Series has already crossed the 1 million unit mark and this is achieved in a faster time compared to the Xiaomi 14 series. For your information, last month a lot of Flagships from major brands like Oppo and Vivo were released but the Xiaomi’s 15 series is the only one with a pride of crossing 1M unit sales.

Mr Lu added that the Xiaomi brand has now become stronger, thanks to the strong reputation of the Xiaomi 13 and 14 series. Now the brand will no longer be releasing sales data reports of its digital flagship series and this task will be handed over to the sub-brand Redmi. Lu Weibing said that due to past year efforts, Xiaomi is now breaking into the high end brand category, it will be low key and continue to innovate and release good products.

My Opinion

The strong word of mouth of Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 14 series has greatly contributed to the success of the Xiaomi 15 Series. Also, two years ago Xiaomi and today’s Xiaomi are completely different, surged by strong automobile business, the market value of Xiaomi is now much stronger than any other traditional Chinese smartphone manufacturer which is why more and more people are getting attracted to try this brand’s product.

However, going forward, the brand still has Huawei and Apple as its major competitors in its domestic high end market and there is still a long path to catch up.
