OnePlus 13 is among one of the most anticipated flagship launches of this year. The device is expected to launch alongside the Xiaomi 15 series and Vivo X200 series next month i.e., October this year. It is going to pack a lot of top-of-the-line specifications such as a Snapdragon 8 Elite (Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) chipset and an industry-leading quad-curved AMOLED screen.

We also have had some renders of the upcoming OnePlus 12 on the internet. Some of them reveal a similar design to their predecessors, while some of them reveal the opposite. Meanwhile, we now have a new render leaked which reveals a new redesigned camera module for the forthcoming device. This is becoming confusing yet intriguing.

OnePlus 13 leak shows a new redesigned camera module

Previous OnePlus models such as OnePlus 12 and 11 had one thing in common – their camera modules were blended into the smartphone’s edge. All of them also had a circular camera ring. Some early renders also revealed that the OnePlus 13 will have a circular camera module but with an independent housing. It won’t be blended into the smartphone’s frame.

We now have a new claim that reveals the new design layout of the upcoming OnePlus 13. Per the render, the device will have an independent camera cutout and its housing may not be circular, but rather rectangular. The alert slider seems to be positioned on the left-hand side of the device whereas the volume control buttons and power on/off button seems to be housed on the right-hand side of the device.

The render also reveals some more technical details such as the new efficient structure used for the placement of periscope telephoto zoom lens. It will have the same 3X optical zoom capacity but this time, the sensor will be upgraded with a new one that will probably have a larger sensor size.

The main camera is reported to be a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 sensor with optical image stabilization support. The secondary camera is mostly going to be an ultrawide lens powered by a Sony LYT-600 camera sensor with the same 50-megapixel resolution. Not only this, but some reports also reveal that the OnePlus 13 will share similar camera processing algorithms as OPPO Find X8. This should not bring us any surprise as OnePlus is now more OPPO than ever.
