Huawei HarmonyOS 6/7 likely to reach 100 million goal this month

Huawei HarmonyOS is inching closer to its 100 million installations, and it will likely achieve the goal by the end of this month. The company today suggested that its self-developed operating system is very close to achieving a new milestone.
Huawei conducted the 2026 HarmonyOS Office Industry Summit today. During the event, the company launched its first HarmonyOS Desktop PC, featuring a Kirin X90 chip and a two-sided heat dissipation system.
The tech maker also talked about its HarmonyOS 100 million installation goal, which will likely be achieved this month. HarmonyOS 6/7 versions have already been installed in more than 90 million devices to date.
A recent report revealed that Huawei HarmonyOS 6/7 has crossed 95 million devices amid its global expansion plans. The exact figure is 95,288,247 units. Hence, there is a high chance that it will achieve the new goal by this month.

The new HarmonyOS version has also reached over 140 types of Huawei devices, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, smart TVs, notebooks, smart home devices, and more.
Developers in the HarmonyOS ecosystem have exceeded 11 million as of June 2026, while the AppGallery native apps now count over 380000. Certain reports said HarmonyOS has taken over iOS in China and holds the second spot in mobile OS rankings.
Huawei is planning to introduce HarmonyOS for global phones. The tech maker has been working on this goal for a long while. Though it’s unclear when it will achieve this milestone, as it is still facing challenges under the US sanction.
The company further mentioned that it will accelerate its OS growth in the next ten years, covering HIMA-powered Smart Travel, Office Suite, Smart Home, Health, and Entertainment.
