Xiaomi's going global—the 18 Pro series is preparing for a major November launch
We knew it was coming, and now we know when (kind of).

What you need to know
- Xiaomi confirmed on social media that it will debut it 18 Pro series globally in November.
- The company has yet to specify an exact date; however, this is what users have been waiting on since the series debuted in China in September.
- High prices are been rumored for the series' global launch, and there's a chance the battery capacities could dip.
Xiaomi's starting November with an announcement many users have been waiting for since the 18 Pro series launched.
Late this weekend, Xiaomi announced that it's preparing a global debut of its 18 Pro series (via GSMArena). We've known this was coming; however, Xiaomi hadn't said when. In a post on X, the company revealed that the 18 Pro series will launch in November. Xiaomi was also curious about which market users were excitedly waiting for the phones to debut in, and many shouted for India, Japan, and even the U.S.
This announcement, while exciting, lacks a critical piece of information: the date. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series launched late in September, but all we had was the expectation. Xiaomi said the 18 Pro series would launch globally, albeit at a "later date." More information was to come, and now November is confirmed.

It's worth following up on Xiaomi's official confirmation with a little spice. There were rumors about the 18 Pro series' global pricing that are drawing attention. The Xiaomi 18 Pro is rumored to start at €1,449 (~$1,622) for its 12GB/256GB configuration, and €1,649 (~$1,846) for 512GB of storage. What's more, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max could start at €1,849 (~$2,070) for its 12GB/512GB model.
These prices are incredible and would certainly take the "flagship killer" moniker out of the equation. Rumors continue, stating Xiaomi could also downgrade its battery once these phones go global. The Pro could dip to 6,000mAh, while the Pro Max could drop to 7,050mAh. For context, these are 1,000mAh (or more) drops from what Chinese consumers received in September.
It was an exciting launch...
The Xiaomi 18 Pro series was long-awaited, especially since the company's president said the rear displays would remain. The 17 series shattered sales, and Xiaomi wanted to ride the high of that popularity. In terms of launch, the 18 Pro series also debuted its take on the privacy screen. Xiaomi took things a step further than what Samsung did with the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The 18 Pro series features location-based triggers for its privacy display. The phones will automatically hide sensitive information from alerts, such as banking notifications, floating windows, and more. The rear displays on these phones have been upgraded, too. Not only are they slightly bigger, but Xiaomi has integrated Xiao, its AI, mini-app creation, timers, and reminders.
