How to use iPhone Duo Reachability in iOS 27.3 beta
Apple added Reachability support to the iPhone Duo in the iOS 27.3 beta, allowing owners of the foldable to more easily reach things from the other side of the large internal display. Here's how it works.
The iPhone Duo has a massive internal screen, but while you would think it's ideal for two-handed use, some may still lament the inability to access everything on the screen with a single thumb. As part of iOS 27.3's developer beta, that's no longer a problem for the iPhone Duo.
As part of the update, Reachability will temporarily shift the left or right side of the screen to the other side with a short swipe. This allows every part of the interface to be accessible from one hand that's also holding the iPhone Duo itself.
Reachability has been around for a few years already in iOS, allowing users to more easily access the top section of the iPhone's display with their thumb. For the iPhone Duo, it's being employed to extend a user's reach horizontally, rather than vertically.
To enable it, users must open Settings then select Accessibility, followed by Reachability, and then activate the feature.
In use, a short swipe left on the left edge of the screen will move the opposing side's content closer to the left. Likewise, a short swipe right on the right edge of the main display will move the screen's content to the right.
