First developer betas of iOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 arrive for testing

Following the release of the 27.2 operating system updates, Apple has started the developer beta process for iOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, and others.

Apple concluded its most recent developer beta process for the 27.2 range of operating systems in late October. Following the public releases, Apple has embarked on a whole new beta round.

The first developer builds of iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 Golden Gate, watchOS 27.3, visionOS 27.3, and tvOS 27.3 are now available for testing.

The first builds are:

  • iOS 27.3 beta 1 is 24C5037i
  • iPadOS 27.3 beta 1 is 24C5037i
  • macOS 27.3 beta 1 is 26C5035r
  • tvOS 27.3 beta 1 is 24K5286g
  • watchOS 27.3 beta 1 is 24S5284h
  • visionOS 27.3 beta 1 is 24N5286r
  • HomePod Software 27.3 beta 1 is 24K5286g

At the same time, Apple has also introduced two update release candidates for older macOS versions:

  • macOS 26.7.3 RC 1 is 25G416
  • macOS 15.8.2 RC 1 is 24H314

At this early stage, it is unclear what the main content of the 27.3 updates will be, but online sleuths will be examining the builds and searching out clues in the hours after their introduction.

As always, AppleInsider warns readers not to use developer beta software on primary or mission-critical systems, unless absolutely necessary. Ideally, they should do so only with adequate backups of their data on hand, and ideally on secondary non-essential devices.

Members of the public are usually better suited to trying out the public betas.
