Walmart is currently discounting the AirPods 3, released in 2021, to under $100. The early Black Friday sale brings the earbuds’ price down to $94, $75 less than the asking price.

The AirPods 3 include Apple’s Spatial Audio feature, which turns your music or movies into an immersive, surround-sound experience. You’re getting up to 30 hours of listening time (with Spatial Audio turned off), IPX4 water resistance, and a MagSafe-compatible case. Unfortunately, one thing you won’t find in these earbuds is noise cancellation — look to the AirPods Pro 2 or the new AirPods 4 for that.

When ZDNET’s Jason Cipriani reviewed the earbuds in 2021, he complimented the upgrades on sound quality and battery life. “There’s a more rounded sound to the 3rd generation AirPods compared to the 2nd generation AirPods; the newest ones appear to have the sound quality of the AirPods Pro,” Cipriani writes in his review.
In honesty, these aren’t our favorite AirPods out of Apple’s lineup. Given how popular noise cancellation tech is, we recommend the AirPods Pro 2 as the best AirPods you can buy (they’re also on sale at Walmart right now). But if you’re looking for AirPods without the silicon ear tips that tightly seal into your ears, these will fit the bill. When Cipriani tried these out, he said he didn’t have any issues with comfort or fit (though they may not be the best for exercise, and he didn’t test them out on runs). Plus, you’re getting Apple ecosystem connectivity and, need I remind you, an under-$100 pair of Apple earbuds.

If you want a pair of Apple AirPods and are willing to sacrifice on some factors, like noise cancellation and novelty, the price is right on these AirPods 3. Heed my advice and act fast, though, because this deal is too good to last.
