The LG C5 is one of the best OLED TVs of 2025, perfectly filling the very big shoes left by its predecessor, the LG C4.

When I tested the LG C5, I was seriously impressed with its picture quality. Its colour reproduction is accurate, vibrant and rich: from the oranges and blues in Elemental to the reds of the throne room fight scene in Star wars: The Last Jedi, the C5’s colours are a sight to behold.

As you’d expect from an OLED TV, the C5’s contrast and shadow detail are exceptional too. High-contrast scenes in movies such as The Batman demonstrate a great balance between light and dark tones, while also maintaining fantastic detail even in the darkest of scenes. Textures are given a 3D-like level of detail while also looking natural.

The C5 is also one of 2025’s best gaming TVs. It has four HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K 144Hz, VRR (FreeSync, G-Sync), HGiG, Dolby Vision gaming and ALLM all supported. Thanks to an ultra-low 9.2ms input lag time, gameplay on the C5 is super responsive. When I played Battlefield V, intense battle sequences were handled by the C5 with ease as movement and gameplay felt incredibly smooth.

The C5 also has an intuitive smart TV platform in webOS 25, with plenty of picture settings, access to all major apps and new AI-based tools for content recommendation and assistance.
