Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 1 Plus Spotted on US FCC, Google Play Device List

Nokia 9 PureView is in the leaks again. Earlier this week, some of the phone’s key specifications were listed on Google’s Android enterprise site and now, the phone has been reportedly added to the Google Play list of supported devices as Nokia 9, along with the Nokia 1 Plus. Separately, a new US FCC listing confirms that the phone will be called ‘Nokia 9 PureView,’ along with some other key specifications like models numbers. Another report claims the penta-lens setup will come with cameras totalling f 64-megapixel cumulatively. The Nokia 1 Plus was also found on the FCC, thanks to an uploaded user manual. Both listings show the smartphones in schematics.

As reported by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia 9 PureView and the Nokia 1 Plus have made their way to the Google Play store supported devices list, further confirming the existence of both phones. We’ve not heard too much about the Nokia 1 Plus, other than a leaked render which showed up last month.

Separately, Nashville Chatter has managed to get its hands on some of the images filed with the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) which reveals a bunch of details about the upcoming phone, including a clear look at the rear . One of the images clearly shows the name of the phone as ‘NOKIA 9 PUREVIEW’ and a corresponding model number TA-1087 DS, where the DS reportedly stands for Dual-SIM. The single SIM version will have the model number TA-1087. Unfortunately, while the rear camera setup is clearly visible in the FCC ID database, we weren’t able to spot the back label seen by Nashville Chatter.

Another image reveals a model number of TA-1094, which is said to be the version heading to China. There’s also mention of where the Android One logo will go on the back, confirming that it will be part of Google’s Android One programme. There’s also a mention of a blue colour variant, which makes sense considering the leaked images we had a couple of days ago was of a blue Nokia 9 PureView.

One of the images from the FCC listing also suggests that the phone will support wireless charging. The exact battery capacity isn’t mentioned but the report states that will also have 18W fast charging, which corresponds to a previous leak.

A separate report on Baidu tips that the Nokia 9 PureView’s penta-lens setup will come with two 12-megapixel telephoto lenses, two 16-megapixel wide-angle lenses, and an 8-megapixel depth sensor – totalling a cumulative 64-megapixels. Earlier this week, the Nokia 9 PureView popped up on Google’s Android enterprise catalogue, revealing some of the phone’s specifications such as a 6-inch display, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also tipped the presence of NFC and possibly, an in-display fingerprint sensor. We’re about two weeks away from HMD Global’s keynote at MWC 2019 on February 24.

Getting to the Nokia 1 Plus user manual listing on the FCC, as seen on FCC ID, a single rear camera is clearly visible, as well a Micro-USB port, and thick display bezels. MySmartPrice reports that the listings show a 2,500mAh battery, and a 5W charger. While the name has not been confirmed, the model numbers are in line (TA-1123/ TA-1127) with what’s expected to be the Nokia 1 Plus.

Nokia 1 Plus thought to be listed as TA-1123/ TA-1127 on US FCC
