Weekly poll: which Android 17 features are you excited about?

Android 17 has been in beta for a while now, but Google keeps adding new features. If you haven’t been following along with all the announcements, you can watch the 90-second recap video below to get the highlights. There are longer videos with details on the core Android experience, Gemini Intelligence, Android Auto and, of course, the Googlebook.

That’s a lot to take in – there are so many new features and new products! But did any of them get you excited – which ones? That’s what we want to find out this week.

Some of these are overdue – Google touts that Instagram videos taken with an Android phone are now “the same or better than the leading competitor”. This is thanks to the number of creative-focused features that were added to version 17 (video stabilization, Night Sight integration, UltraHDR photo support for Instagram). Compatibility with AirDrop is another long-awaited feature.

Good job of catching up to iPhone, right? Or maybe that is too harsh – you now have even more reasons to stick with or switch to Android. What do you think?

And there are some cool new additions too. The Continue On feature lets you seamlessly switch between using an app on your phone to using that same app on your tablet without any hassle. Then there are cool-but-niche features like Screen Reactions – a picture-in-picture mode that combines screen recording with selfie video.

Which features are you excited to try? You can pick more than one!

Then there are all the improvements to Gemini Intelligence, Wear OS, Android Auto, smart glasses and the Android-powered Googlebook.

Which ones are you looking forward to? Note that you can pick more than one.
