Google’s Gemini Intelligence will make its debut on Samsung’s next foldables, new report says

Yesterday, Google announced Gemini Intelligence, a suite of features that it said would become available on the Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 devices “this summer”.

Now a new report from Korea claims that Gemini Intelligence will actually launch on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 (and probably also the Samsung Wide Fold if it gets unveiled at the same time as those two). Presumably it would then arrive on the S26 and Pixel 10 families afterwards.

This wouldn’t be a surprising move as the cooperation between Samsung and Google has gotten ever closer over these past few years, with Google routinely launching new software features on new Samsung devices, only to have those same features then make it to its Pixels as well within a few days.

Eventually all of these features trickle out to the entire Android ecosystem, so it’s not like you’ll only have Gemini Intelligence on Samsung and Google devices – but because of the timed exclusivity, Samsung’s marketing campaigns can imply that you need those devices for the new features, which probably helps move some inventory.

Gemini Intelligence will be part of One UI 9, which Samsung has just started testing, and which will make its debut on the upcoming foldables, rumored to be unveiled in July. This will be based on Android 17.
