Pixel’s May 2026 update is here with several fixes and improvements

Google’s Pixel devices are now receiving the May 2026 update, which brings several bug fixes and other improvements. The update is currently being rolled out to the Pixel 7a and later, and the Pixel Tablet.

While the May 2026 update doesn’t introduce any new features, Google has addressed several persistent bugs. The update carries the build number CP1A.260505.005 and includes the latest May Android security patch.

According to the official changelog, one of the fixes targets slow wireless charging speeds when the battery level is between 75 and 80 percent. The update also resolves an issue where the camera app could freeze while recording video or adjusting zoom.

In addition, Google has fixed a problem causing a flickering white dot or visual noise on the display, along with an issue where the screen could appear fuzzy or unresponsive. A bug affecting the keyboard, where it would appear frozen or render incorrectly, has also been addressed.

The update is rolling out to the Pixel 7a, Pixel 8 series, Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 lineups, Pixel Tablet, and the latest Pixel 10a.
