Samsung is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 later this year. A third foldable with a wider aspect ratio, possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide or simply Z Fold Wide, is also rumored to launch alongside them. Alleged dummy units of the devices have now surfaced online.
Well-known leaker Sonny Dickson has shared images of dummy units of the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide on X.
The images highlight the design differences between Samsung’s upcoming foldables and also show the devices in both folded and unfolded states.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 appears largely unchanged from the current Galaxy Z Fold7 and aligns with earlier leaked renders. The same applies to the Galaxy Z Flip8, which has also surfaced in previous leaks. Notably, the Z Fold8 is rumored to be slightly thicker and could feature a smaller punch-hole cutout on the cover display.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is shorter and slightly wider than the standard Z Fold8. A recent leak pegged its dimensions at 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.3 mm when unfolded, and 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm when folded.
The wide foldable is also tipped to offer a 4.7:3 aspect ratio for the outer screen, while the inner display is expected to use a 4:3 aspect ratio.
