Motorola Razr Fold launch pulled forward to this week

The Motorola Razr Fold has had a troubled launch – it was unveiled way back in early January, but it’s not available yet. That will change this Saturday as Bulgarian carrier Yettel is wrapping up pre-orders for the FIFA edition of the phone.

The phone – the Motorola Razr Fold FIFA Edition England – Ghana with 512GB storage – will officially go on sale on April 18 and you can pick one up for €2,600. There is only one color and only one storage option.

Yettel has branches in Serbia and Hungary, but we didn’t find the phone on their respective local sites. For what it’s worth, the initial pricing (from early March) was €2,000 for the regular model (i.e. not the FIFA one).

Meanwhile, Motorola Germany still lists the phone as “coming soon” at a lower price of €2,400. Motorola UK doesn’t have a launch date either, just a price – £2,120. Those pre-orders were originally set to end on May 3, which is two weeks later than the Yettel timing for some reason.

You can check out our hands-on with the Moto Razr Fold for a closer look at the phone.

PS. Motorola also has the Razr 70-series flip foldables on the way – there is no launch date yet, but they have leaked more than a few times over the last couple of months.
