Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 star in a long hands-on video, which reveals their pricing

Did you hear that Samsung has introduced secure chat rooms for its employees to curb leaks? So, anyway, the Samsung Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 starred in a hands-on video last week and now they are in an even longer video. The official announcement is on Wednesday, by the way.

The video is from Vietnam and it reveals local pricing – an 8/128GB A37 will be priced at VND 10,990,000, which converts to $420 / €365 / ₹39,000. Meanwhile, an 8/128GB A57 will be VND 12,490,000, which converts to $475 / €410 / ₹44,500. That’s just the currency conversion, though, local prices will likely be different in each region.

For reference, the launch prices of the A36 and A56 were VND 8,290,000 and VND 9,990,000, respectively. This is for the same 8/128GB base configuration, which will seemingly remain the norm for the A-series (while the S-series upgraded to 12/256GB as base).

Back to the video – after showing the prices, it shows the accessories that you get in the box: a cable, a SIM ejector and a quick start guide. It’s pretty bare bones, but this is the standard these days.

The phones have a slightly updated design. They are thinner than their 2025 counterparts, but the camera island has an extra raised “step”. The “Key Island” (the raised area around the power and volume keys) is still there.

The Galaxy A37 features a new old chipset – the Exynos 1480 replaces the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 of the A36. We say the 1480 chip is “old” since it was previously used in the A55. Like before, the two phones will get 6 years of OS updates. The A37 has the same display as its predecessor, a 6.7” 120Hz panel with a brightness of 1,200 nits. The battery is the same too with 5,000mAh capacity and 45W wired-only charging.

Moving on to the Galaxy A57, it has a metal frame as expected (the A37 has a plastic frame). Other than that, it has the same 6.7” 120Hz display as the A37 and A56. This phone will bring extra performance with the new Exynos 1680. The two phones run One UI 8.5 / Android 16 out of the box. The cameras on both phones are the same – 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro on the back plus 12MP selfie on the front. The phones top out at 4K at 30fps for video recording.
