Just days ahead of its launch, new details about the Realme Neo8 have been officially confirmed by the company. The phone is set to launch on January 22 in China and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.
Through several Weibo posts, Realme confirmed the battery capacity and other features of the Neo8. It will house an 8,000mAh battery, which is 1,000mAh larger than the cell on the Neo7.
Realme also revealed that the phone will be IP66/IP68/IP69 rated and come with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
The display, which is confirmed to be a Samsung M14 OLED panel with 165Hz refresh rate, will be protected by Crystal Armor glass.
The Neo8 will also pack an X-axis linear motor, super-linear stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, multi-angle NFC, and dual-frequency GPS. The phone will come with Realme UI 7.0 and is confirmed to receive three years of OS updates.
The phone will be available in Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White color options. The Neo8 will feature a triple rear camera setup with up to 120x digital zoom support and an LED light strip.
