The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro just passed through Geekbench, which may shed some light on the upcoming chipsets from MediaTek. The phone’s model number, 2602BRT18C, matches the one that we saw in a 3C certification from a couple of weeks ago.
That same phone will reportedly use the Dimensity 9500e chipset. Here’s what Geekbench has to say about it. The motherboard is listed as “dash”. The CPU has eight cores split as such: 1x 3.73GHz + 3x 3.30GHz + 4x 2.40GHz. The GPU is an Immortalis-G925 MC12 clocked at 339MHz (boosting to 622MHz).
Redmi Turbo 5 Pro (2602BRT18C) Geekbench result
These CPU clocks and this GPU match the Dimensity 9400+, which had 1x Cortex-X925 at 3.73GHz + 3x Cortex-X4 at 3.30GHz + 4x Cortex-A720 at 2.40GHz. And that makes a lot of sense since the Dimensity 9400e was a rebadged 9300+, so the 9500e should be based on the 9400+.
Chipset aside, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is rumored to have a massive 9,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. It is also said to have an LTPS OLED display with “1.5K” resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Other rumored specs include a metal frame and stereo speakers.
Purported Redmi Turbo 5 Max renders
Xiaomi has also been teasing a Redmi Turbo 5 Max and there will be a vanilla model too. The Max will be in the CNY 2,500 price segment ($360/€305/₹32,500). You can see renders of it here.
The first of the Turbo 4 series came out on January 2, 2025, but that time frame is already behind us. The Turbo 4 Pro launched in late April, so we expect the Turbo 5 series to go live around that time (or even sooner, judging by the amount of benchmark results on Geekbench).
