The Poco F8 Ultra sits atop the Poco portfolio, offering solid all-around performance at a sub-flagship price. But ever wondered what’s inside, especially with the built-in subwoofer? Well, the guys at PBKreviews have done a complete teardown showing off the internals, and there are some interesting findings.
Let’s start with repairability. Previous Poco F generations have been criticized for being hard to repair, but the F8 Ultra appears to have improved on that aspect. Still, it’s not the easiest phone repair, especially with the stacked components and plenty of adhesive.
Build quality-wise, we see nothing out of the ordinary. The middle aluminum frame is structurally reinforced inside, and so is the area around the camera island.
Speaking of, the subwoofer is placed beneath the camera bump.
Unfortunately, the battery isn’t easy to access. It’s buried beneath dozens of components.
Last but not least, the teardown video also shows the thermal pads and copper shield layers around the SoC and battery. In other words, it’s business as usual.
