Realme 16 Pro, Pad 3 and Buds Air8 make their debut today

Realme’s 16 Pro series was officially introduced in India today, marking the first major launch event for the brand in 2026. Alongside the 16 Pro+, Realme also introduced the regular 16 Pro as well as its Pad 3 tablet and Buds Air8 wireless earbuds.

Realme 16 Pro

Realme 16 Pro shares some of its key specs with the 16 Pro+, including the 200MP main camera (Samsung HP5), complete with Realme’s LumaColor Image processing technology. The device also features an 8MP ultrawide lens, but does not have a dedicated telephoto lens like the 16 Pro+.

Realme 16 Pro

Realme 16 Pro features the same Urban Wild Design as the Pro+ which was co-developed alongside designer Naoto Fukasawa. The phone gets a plastic frame instead of the aluminum one found on its sibling, but it still retains the IP69 ingress protection.

Up front, Realme 16 Pro is equipped with a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is touted to offer up to 1,400 nits peak local brightness and also features a 50MP selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner.

The regular 16 Pro is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Max chipset paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The phone shares the same 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging as the 16 Pro+ and boots realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 with a promise of 3 Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches.

Realme 16 Pro comes in Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and the India-exclusive Orchid Purple. It starts at INR 31,999 ($355) for the 8/128GB trim and goes up to INR 36,999 ($410) for the 12/256GB version. Pre-orders are now open on Realme India, while shipments are scheduled for January 8.

Realme Pad 3

Realme Pad 3 is an 11.6-inch tablet running realme UI 7 based on Android 16. The IPS LCD features a 2,800 x 2,000px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate and also boasts a 7:5 aspect ratio.

Under the hood, Pad 3 gets the same Dimensity 7300 Max chipset as the Realme 16 Pro, paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB built-in storage, as well as a microSD card slot for storage expansion. Pad 3 is available in both Wi-Fi only and 5G cellular trims.
