Samsung announced that it is bringing Google Photos to its smart TVs. This would mark the first time Google Photos is available as an app on any TV platform, as even Google’s own Android TVs currently don’t have native support.
Google Photos is set to debut in three feature tiers starting in early 2026, with Memories being the first available feature. As per Samsung’s press release, Memories will “show curated stories based on people, locations and meaningful moments”, and the feature will be exclusive to eligible Samsung TVs from March.
Samsung TV users are also getting access to Nano Banana via the Create with AI feature that’s set to launch later in 2026. This feature will bring themed templates to make AI edits to your existing photos while also incorporating the Remix tool directly on the big screen.
Personalized Results is the third Google Photos feature coming to Samsung TVs. It is set to launch later in 2026, and it will offer curated slideshows based on topics or specific memories.
Samsung is also integrating Google Photos with its Vision AI Companion (VAC).
