Netflix House Dallas Gives 'Stranger Things' Fans a Real-World Fix of the Upside Down

The streaming giant’s second immersive playground also lets you try your hand at surviving the Squid Game arena.

If you’re pining for a trip back to Hawkins before that final run of Stranger Things episodes lands, then the opening of Netflix House Dallas this week looks set to provide an ideal warm-up for all things eerie and ’80s.

Coming hot on the heels of the opening of the streaming service’s first immersive entertainment center in Philadelphia last month, this recreational hub from Netflix at the Galleria Dallas shopping mall focuses on two of its most famous franchises as its main attractions.

While the Philly venue’s large-scale immersive experiences are themed around One Piece and Wednesday, Dallas gets Stranger Things and Squid Game as the inspiration for its big headliners. Other Netflix titles are spotlighted throughout the house, including Sakamoto Days, KPop Demon Hunters, Army of the Dead, The Hunting Wives, Bridgerton, Love is Blind and La Casa de Papel (aka Money Heist).

The location is opening its doors for the first time on Thursday, and here’s a peek at what it holds for fans.

What is Netflix House Dallas and what attractions does it have?

As with its forebearer in Philadelphia, Netflix House Dallas is a place where you can shop, play, dine and dive into your favorite shows in real life.

The multifloor venue spans over 100,000 square feet. There’s a Netflix Bites restaurant serving food and drinks inspired by shows such as a KPop Demon Hunters-themed Korean Belly Pork and an Old Fashioned cocktail drawing from comedy-action series, The Gentlemen. You can get your fill of themed merchandise, too, by shopping for apparel, snacks, toys, games, housewares and other goods (like the KPop Demon Hunters ramen).

The main draw, however, is its two large-scale, immersive experiences.

Stranger Things: Escape the Dark is billed as a rescue mission that takes visitors on a tour around a realistically recreated Hawkins, Indiana, in the aftermath of an earthquake.

Set to have participants exploring familiar spots such as Hawkins High School, the creepy Creel House dining room, and the ruins of Castle Byers, the hour-long experience arms visitors with a flashlight and binaural headphones, tasking them with finding three townspeople who are missing following the disaster.

The Stranger Things experience takes you inside Castle Byers, Eddie Munson’s trailer and more.

In another section, Squid Game: Survive The Trials aims to bring the dystopian survival drama’s twisted contest to life. While it’s currently unclear whether participants will get to don the show’s iconic tracksuits, it does appear to offer an authentic Red Light, Green Light-style challenge, allowing players to take on iconic games like Round and Round and face off against the show’s ruthless antagonist, The Front Man.

Alongside these two big-draw attractions, the Dallas site also includes Netflix RePLAY,  an arcade-style room packed with physical challenges and retro-style games themed around Netflix properties such as KPop Demon Hunters, Floor Is Lava and Love Is Blind.

How much is Netflix House Dallas?

Netflix House Dallas opens on Dec. 11 at the Galleria Dallas mall. Like its Philly forerunner, you can enter and explore it for free. But if you’re a big fan of the streamer’s output, there’s a good chance you’ll leave the place with an empty wallet.

The main immersive experiences are both ticketed, while the show-themed eatery and the venue’s Netflix Shop — which features exclusive merchandise — are both likely to tempt you into spending more than you may have planned.

Ticket prices for the Netflix House Dallas’s immersive attractions are set to be priced depending on the day, with both starting at $39 each.

Netflix RePLAY cards will start at $10 to play games (and VR activities), and you can check out the Netflix Bites menu here. The good news for those looking enviously from the West is that a third Netflix House is also on its way, with Netflix Las Vegas set to open on the Strip in 2027.
