Samsung seems not to be taking any second chance with the upcoming One UI 8.0 based on Android 16. We all know the fiasco that happened with the rollout of Android 15 based One UI 7. Samsung was probably the last brand to rollout its Android 15 skin to the devices. But with the upcoming One UI 8.0, the South Korean tech giant seems to be taking the top spot again.
Samsung One UI 8.0 beta testing page goes live for Galaxy S22 series users
Samsung has already started the Android 16 powered One UI 8.0’s beta testing for its current flagship lineup, the Galaxy S22 series in the mainland South Korea. Other regions are expected to get the beta update soon. However, the company has now pushed the One UI 8.0 beta program page for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in its community forum.

This indicates that the brand is actively working on the software and the beta testing of it will soon go live for the Galaxy S22 series. The One UI 8.0 is not expected to carry any significant changes or the design changes as the One UI 7. But rather, it will serve as an update that further polishes the user experience. All the core features of the Android 16 will be there though.
