Flagship Android tablets powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chipset are a very, very rare occurrence even if flagship smartphones do get upgraded yearly to the top-shelf SoC. There are so far no tablets using the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but that might change if a new rumor from a tipster over on X is true.
He claims that Xiaomi is working on a new tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and this beast will be launching later this year.
Unfortunately, there are no more details about the device at this time. However, the use of that very expensive chipset automatically means the rest of the specs should be high-end as well – otherwise they’d feel like a mismatch. So expect a big high-resolution screen, at least 8GB of RAM (but possibly 12GB or even 16GB), and a battery over 10,000 mAh. We’ll let you know when we find out more.
