Samsung has today started rolling out the third public beta build of One UI 7 based on Android 15 to the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra in Germany. Naturally, the rollout should extend to the other places where the beta program is available within the next few days.
The new build brings with it the January 2025 security patch level, and also fixes a bunch of issues, like making vertical scrolling in the app drawer smoother. It fixes the MMS image saving issue in the Messages app, improves the closing of the Quick Panel to make it more responsive, makes the placement of the Now Bar better, fixes alignment issues with the lock screen, Always On Display, status bar battery icon, and notification icons, and the lock screen editing functions should also be smoother.
Additionally, the volume key is now working properly in Routine+, issues with Edge Panels have been resolved, and the maximum frames per second in Game Booster has been changed with the default now at 120 Hz.
The new build identifies itself as S921BXXU4ZXLJ for the Galaxy S24, S926BXXU4ZXLJ for the Galaxy S24+, and S928BXXU4ZXLJ for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. If you’re in the beta program, are in Germany, and haven’t yet received the update notification, you can manually check for it by going to Settings > Software Update.
