Xiaomi’s next generation of foldable devices are in development. This year Xiaomi introduced two foldable flagships Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip, where Mix Flip was released globally as well. Mix Flip turned out to be a major challenger to the ultimate domination of Samsung foldable device Z Flip 6. However it was let down by some shortcomings like lack of wireless charging, no IP rating, etc.
But now Xiaomi is going all out in their upcoming Mix Flip 2. The 2nd iteration of the clamshell foldable device is said to get major upgrades across all key areas like battery, charging, performance and durability. New leaks say that Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 will be powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The foldable device will be equipped with wireless charging and will have an official IPX8 waterproofing specification removing the shortcomings of the previous generation. The Mix Flip 2 will also benefit from the latest trend of Chinese brands putting large batteries. The exact capacity is currently unknown but you can expect a full day of endurance without any charge.
Launch Timeline
There is currently no confirmed information regarding the exact launch timeline of this smartphone but we can expect it to get released in May,2025. The global launch is also planned.
