HONOR 200 Pro Gets December Security Patch Update

HONOR recently made its comeback in the Indian smartphone market. The HONOR 200 series, including the HONOR 200 and 200 Pro was part of one of the first devices launched after the comeback. The Pro model was priced in the country starting at INR 57,999. The firm promises 2 years of major Android upgrades for the device and up to 3 years of regular monthly security patches.

The October update for the HONOR 200 and 200 Pro brought a lot of new and important features such as Circle to Search by Google, an AI eraser function in Gallery and a briefly redesigned status bar. The November update then brought the latest security patch. Well, it’s time for the December update and HONOR has started rolling out the update for the 200 Pro models.

HONOR 200 Pro gets December security patch

The HONOR has started rolling out the November update for its HONOR 200 Pro device. The vanilla 200 might be getting the same update since both of them share similar firmware. As for the Pro models, the update comes with version number 8.0.0.192 (C675E7R2P2) and weighs around 201MB in size. If you are using the HONOR 200 Pro, you should check for the update by going to Settings >> System & updates >> Software update. If the update is up for your device, then you will get an option to download and install the OTA update. If you have not received the update yet, then we recommend you wait a few more days before the update lands on your device as generally, the updates are rolled out in batches to ensure stability.
