Xiaomi Brings Back Mi Beam Feature in Xiaomi 15 Series

Xiaomi recently launched its flagship Xiaomi 15 lineup of smartphones in China. The devices are now getting ready for the overseas launch. But between all these, one very interesting thing has happened Xiaomi has brought back the popular Mi Beam feature with the series.

You would be already aware of the Mi Beam feature if you’re a hardcore Xiaomi fan or a tech enthusiast. It was a proprietary file-sharing system developed by Xiaomi back in the era of MIUI. It was first introduced in the MIUI V5 and the firm is now bringing it back with the HyperOS 2 user interface.

Mi Beam is back to Xiaomi devices with HyperOS 2

As per the report by XiaomiTime, Xiaomi is bringing back the popular Mi Beam file-sharing feature with the HyperOS 2 user interface. The feature, right now, is made available to Xiaomi 15 series devices. Whether other Xiaomi devices will get this feature or not remains a mystery for now.

Talking about the Mi Beam is a popular file-sharing system independently developed by Xiaomi for its own devices. It eliminates the need to use third-party software and tools for file sharing. The feature, for reference, is very similar to Apple’s Airdrop.

Mi Beam has its own advantages, such as it doesn’t require any active internet connection to work, the sharing speeds are fast and there’s no need to use cables for file transfer. It also makes it easier to transfer files between Xiaomi devices.

How exactly the Mi Beam feature works remains a question for now. Does it work the same way as its older iteration or did Xiaomi have made some changes to make it more efficient and fast? We will get to about this only once it gets available to more devices in the future.
