Redmi Note 14 debuts in India with UD fingerprint scanner, 8MP ultrawide cam

Following their debut in China, the Redmi Note 14 series has now made its way to India with the Note 14, Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ models. We’ll be taking a closer look at the vanilla Note 14 in this article, which actually boasts a few differences from the Chinese model, which launched in September.

While the Indian/global Note 14 looks similar to its Chinese counterpart, it brings an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and a 20MP front-facing cam. The phone still gets a 6.67-inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with 2,100 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The other change is on the bac,k where we find an 8MP ultrawide lens alongside the 50MP (LYT-600) main shooter and 2MP macro cam.

The rest of the spec sheet includes the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset with 6/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage which is expandable via the hybrid microSD card slot. The phone boots Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14 with 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The device is also equipped with a 5,100 mAh battery with 45W charging.

Redmi Note 14 comes in Titan Black, Mystique White, and Phantom Purple colors. Pricing in India is set at INR 17,999 ($212) for the 6/128GB trim and tops out at INR 20,999 ($248) for the 8/256GB version. Open sales are scheduled for December 13 via Xiaomi’s official online store, Amazon India and partnering retailers.
