Moto G47 Power arrives with a 7,000 mAh battery and faster charging

Motorola has just made the Moto G47 Power official in Europe. It’s not a successor to the Moto G47 that launched back in April, but a new member of that family, and it lives up to its name by going from a 5,200 mAh battery to a 7,000 mAh one. That matches what an EPREL listing revealed earlier this month, and the phone looks just like the leaked renders.

Charging has also gone from 20W to 30W, and there’s 6W wired reverse charging so you can top up other devices. Motorola says the G47 Power can last up to 78 hours on a single charge. All of that comes at a cost, though – the new phone measures 166.23×76.5×8.89mm and weighs 215g, while the G47 is 7.9mm thick and weighs 191g.

Almost everything else is unchanged. You get a 6.67-inch 720×1604 LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,050-nit brightness in high brightness mode, and Gorilla Glass 7i on top. The Dimensity 6300 chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with no other memory options this time, though there’s a microSD card slot if you need more space.

On the back is a 108MP main camera alongside a 2MP macro unit, and selfies are handled by an 8MP shooter. The handset keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP64 dust and splash resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, NFC, and side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and it disappointingly runs Android 16 out of the box, even though Android 17 was released by Google months ago.

The Moto G47 Power comes in Pantone Capri, Pantone Nautical Blue, and Pantone Impenetrable color options, so Capri replaces the G47’s Fuchsia Red. It costs €339 in the EU and £299 in the UK.
