Apple TV is a relatively new streaming service, but it’s already made quite a splash with numerous Emmy-winning shows and star-studded casts. You can finally see why everyone was obsessed with “Severance,” or check out other hit shows like “Silo,” “Shrinking,” “Slow Horses,” “The Morning Show,” “Ted Lasso,” “The Studio,” “Bad Monkey,” and more. The service is also adding more movies to its roster, like “The Gorge,” “Highest Lowest,” and “F1,” which will be streaming on December 12th.

Apple

Apple TV is one of my personal favorite streaming services, due to high-quality content and user-friendliness. A specific feature I love is automatically putting on subtitles when you rewind and replay the last 10 or 20 seconds of your show. It’s compatible with tons of devices and programs, including X-Box, PlayStation, Roku, FireTV, and other smart TVs. Because it’s Apple, it’s also super easy to play from a myriad of devices like an iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and via casting. During their Black Friday sale, Apple TV is offering 6 months of the platform for $6/month, a 54% discount from their normal monthly rate of $13/month. Don’t miss out on a premiere platform for half a year of half price–and finally learn what all the fuss over Severance is about.

How I rated this deal

As a huge Apple TV fan myself, I truly think this is an exceptional deal that couldn’t come at a better time. 6 months is a nice amount of time to see if the service is the right fit for you, especially when three months of the promotional cost is about the same price as a movie ticket.

We’re not sure exactly when this deal will expire, but the Apple TV website writes that this is the “last chance” to take advantage of the promotion, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the deal ends this weekend. Deals are subject to sell out or expire anytime, though ZDNET remains committed to finding, sharing, and updating the best product deals for you to score the best savings. Our team of experts regularly checks in on the deals we share to ensure they are still live and obtainable. We’re sorry if you’ve missed out on this deal, but don’t fret — we’re constantly finding new chances to save and sharing them with you at ZDNET.com.
