Black Friday is the most popular shopping day of the year: Last year, 197 million shoppers took advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend sales. At ZDNET, we track deals throughout the year, and can confirm that Black Friday sees the most discounts in terms of the variety of brands and products, as well as the best price decreases on coveted flagship items.

Since we’re seasoned at deals and covering Black Friday/Cyber Monday, we’ve created a deal tracker of ZDNET readers’ favorite products to help you see up-front what is a good deal and what others you might want to hold off on buying this weekend.
Using the CamelCamelCamel extension that tracks products on Amazon’s prices over time, I compared the lowest price, highest price, and current deal price of the following reader-favorite products:
- TCL QM7 (for $800 – save $700)
- Chipolo Bluetooth Trackers (for $71 – save $18)
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (for $900 – save $400)
- FITVII Fitness Tracker (for $24 – save $31)
- Dreame X40 Ultra (for $500 – save $700)
- Oura Ring 4 (for $249 – save $100)
- Soundcore Sleep A20 Earbuds (for $108 – save $72)
- Apple iPad Air (7th-gen) (for $449 – save $150)
- Apple MacBook Air M4 (for $749 – save $250)
- ESR Aura MagSafe Wallet (for $15 – save $9)
- Amazon Fire TV Stick (for $18 – save $17)
Which deals are worth it
Looking at both Figure 1 and Figure 2 visualization graphs, you can see that all our top products are currently at or below their lowest recorded prices during Black Friday. The products that are currently at their lowest prices include the FITVII Fitness Tracker, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the ESR Aura MagSafe Wallet.
These products are worth snagging right now since they are priced at some of the lowest discounts they’ve seen.
However, the other products are also discounted decently, including 29% off the Oura Ring Gen 4 and 58% off the Dreame X40 Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop.

Since today is Black Friday, we recommend snagging any deals you want today rather than waiting, since prices are likely to increase again tomorrow. Discounts then resume on Cyber Monday, so plan accordingly.
The holiday season, including Black Friday, is generally a great time to scoop up deals on a multitude of products, including flagship tech. While it’s true to shop smart you need to be aware of sly tactics like markups and faux discounts, price tracking tools like Keepa and CamelCamelCamel make it easier than ever to ensure you’re getting the best deal possible. Black Friday is also an excellent time to save on last year’s latest tech, as we’ve seen dozens of new releases in phones, TVs, laptops, tablets and more over the last 6 months.
To choose which products to compare prices, we gathered data on the top-selling products across tech categories in 2025 via links in ZDNET reviews, buying guides, and deals (your privacy is protected — we only have access to aggregate data from our user base, and there is no way for us to identify individual people’s purchases).
ZDNET only writes about deals we want to buy — devices and products we desire, need, or would recommend. Our experts looked for deals that were at least 20% off (or are hardly ever on sale), using established price comparison tools and trackers to determine whether the deal is actually on sale and how frequently it drops.
We also looked over customer reviews to find out what matters to real people who already own and use the deals we’re recommending. Our recommendations may also be based on our own testing — in addition to extensive research and comparison shopping. The goal is to deliver the most accurate advice to help you shop smarter.
