If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop, there are a ton of those available too, from great budget picks to full-on premium desktop replacements, and these are some of my personal favorites on sale right now.

If you’re in the hunt for a solid Chromebook, check out these Lenovo Chromebook deals on two of the best Chromebook devices on the market today.

Speaking of my favorite laptops from the past year, let’s talk about the Dell 14 Plus. It’s not a perfect laptop, but it’s excellent for everyday computing and productivity use, and its lightweight and portable design makes it great for working on the road.

While Black Friday is officially over in the UK, US deals are still very much alive, including this one for the phenomenal Microsoft Surface Laptop 13-inch starting at just $669.99 at Amazon.

Black Friday in the UK is officially over, but there are still plenty of laptop deals that are still live, and likely will remain so through the weekend. Me and the team will still be here throughout the weekend though, surfacing any new deals we find and providing any updates we can on existing offers.

As Black Friday comes to a close in the UK, don’t fret if you didn’t find the laptop deal you were looking for. There are going to be a lot of deals still going live into the weekend, and likely even more on Cyber Monday, so there are going to be plenty of chances to land a new laptop at a fantastic price.

We’re coming up to the last hour of Black Friday sales in the UK, and while many deals may stretch into the weekend, some will expire at midnight tonight, so make sure to jump on any laptop deals soon if you’re committed to a purchase, as that sales price might be gone sooner than you think.

If you’re looking for something more basic than a MacBook or gaming laptop, but don’t want to worry about the limitations of a cheap Chromebook, the Dell 15 laptop is a solid choice, and it’s as cheap right now as I’ve ever seen it, especially for the specs on offer.

If you want something a little higher-spec, this Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 is a fantastic value at $999 in the States and £699 in the UK.

If you like the idea of an everyday laptop like the M1 MacBook Air I just highlighted but aren’t too keen on going over $500, check out the HP Chromebook Plus 15.

If you want the absolute cheapest MacBook deal in the entirety of Black Friday sales, it’s the M1 MacBook Air. It’s not the most powerful entry in the lineup, but it still holds up surprisingly well for productivity work, everyday browsing, and kicking back to watch a movie.

If you’re looking for a new MacBook Pro, there are a few great deals on the new MacBook Pro 14-inch with M5, like this offer from Amazon for the MacBook Pro 14-inch (M5) for just $1,399, a $200 discount.

With nearly a decade of award-winning journalism under my belt covering science and technology, I live and breathe tech, especially computers; so much so that I went back to school to earn a Master’s degree in Computer Science. I leverage all of that knowledge and experience to help you find the best computer hardware for the money.

One last deal before I hand things over to my colleague John Loeffler across the pond in New York! The latest Microsoft Surface Laptop 13 is discounted for Black Friday too, and it’s so good that John himself described it as ‘nearly perfect’ in his Surface Laptop 13-inch review.

This midrange AI-capable laptop from Acer packs a Snapdragon X processor along with 16GB of RAM, making it a solid deal with Black Friday. Though I might previously have said the $699 MSRP on this Acer Aspire 16 AI was a little steep, a big price cut taking it down to just $449 makes it far more appealing!

Another competitively-priced laptop perfect for anyone who needs to make a speedy upgrade to Windows 11 this Black Friday is the HP Laptop 15, currently better than half price at an incredibly cheap $219 over at Best Buy.

(By the way, Best Buy seems to have a lot of the best deals on computer hardware this Black Friday… it’s definitely the place to go, judging from sales at other US retailers. You can check out our Best Buy promo codes page for potential extra savings, too!)

Many of us will be contemplating an upgrade to a new computer this Black Friday, especially in the ruinous wake of Windows 10’s End of Life last month. If you’re still using a laptop that’s running Windows 10 (or worse, an even older version of Windows), then you’ll be missing out on important security and functionality updates – but now’s the perfect time to upgrade.

The deals are still coming in fast: check out this discount on the excellent Acer Aspire 16 AI, down to $449 (was $699) at Amazon. With a Snapdragon X processor featuring a dedicated NPU, it’s perfect for making the most of Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI tools in Windows 11.

For those who want great value PC gaming and nothing else, though, the Steam Deck is currently 20% off for just £279.20 in the UK – note that this is the LCD version, not the newer OLED model, but it’s still extremely good value. It’s cheaper than any gaming laptop in terms of pure performance, and is easier to take with you on the go too!

Looking for something ultra-cheap this Black Friday? Perhaps you need a quick replacement for a laptop for your office work, or you’ve got a kid who needs their first laptop for school. If that’s you, check out the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook – ridiculously cheap at just $119 (thanks, Best Buy!)

Here’s one of my favorite laptops, the esteemed Dell 14 Plus – formerly known as the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus, before Dell decided to obliterate all its laptop brand names earlier this year for mysterious, possibly nefarious (okay, probably not) reasons.

Here’s a great budget gaming laptop for people in the US who want something that can play modern games but which doesn’t cost the Earth:

If you’re not interested in a gaming handheld PC, I’ll share some of my favorite US and UK gaming laptop deals, as well as some buying advice on what to look for.

The Acer Nitro V15 deal above gets you an RTX 5060, which is part of Nvidia’s latest generation of gaming GPUs, and that means you get access to advanced features such as DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation which can work wonders and allow budget gaming laptops like this really punch above their weight.

If you’re looking for something more high-end, this is a brilliant deal in the UK that should not be missed: Microsoft’s excellent Surface Laptop now £1,099 (down from £1,649) at Amazon.

I’ve been on Amazon UK and have found the following deals that I really like:
